4.We protect our senses.
- A pair of gloves protects the sense of touch.
- A pair of googles protects the sense of sight.
- A pair of ear plugs protects the sense of hearing.
- Sun screen/block protects the sense of touch.

Now, explain how we see things (Page 12 CB)
First, light reflects off an objects and enters the eye through te pupil.
Then, the light goes through the lens and makes an image on the retina at the back of the eye.The image is upside down.
After that, the retina sends the information to the brain.
Finally, the brain reads the signals and turns the image right side up.
6. Put the words in the correct order to make questions. Then, answer the questions.

a) What is the organ of sight?
answer: The organ of sight is the eye.
b) What does the brain do?
answer:The brain sends messages back to different parts of the body.
The brain controls everything you do. The brain is the control centre of our body.
c) How many parts does the ear have?
answer: The ear has five parts: outer ear, middle ear, canal, eardrum and inner ear.
B
a) What does the locomotor system include ?
answer:The locomotor system includes bones, joins and muscles.
b) What is the organ of smell ?
answer: It is the nose.
c) What are the external parts of the eye ?
answer:The external parts of the eye are the eyebrow, eyelashes, eyelid. They protect the eyeball.
