- Vertebrate or Invertebrate: Frogs are vertebrates.
- Physical Characteristics: Most frogs have four limbs and moist skin. Some have brightly colored skin to scare other animals and some frogs use their colors to hide themselves from other animals. Frogs have webbed feet that help them swim.
- Reproduction: Frogs are oviparous. They lay eggs in water.
- Nutrition: They are carnivores. They eat small vertebrates such as mice and invertebrates such as worms.

- Vertebrate or Invertebrate: Bats are vertebrates.
- Physical Characteristics: Bats are the only mammals that can fly. They are nocturnal and have fur. They fly quite high and have long wings. They have different types of teeth depending on what food they eat.
- Reproduction: Bats are viviparous. They give birth to live babies.
- Nutrition: They can be omnivores, herbivores or carnivores.

- Vertebrate or Invertebrate: Butterflies are invertebrates.
- Physical Characteristics: They have six legs, two wings, and a body divided into three parts: head, thorax, and abdomen. Butterflies have lots of colors. Before they are butterflies, they are caterpillars. The catepillar makes a cocoon (or chrysallis) and goes inside it. After a month, the butterfly comes out.
- Reproduction: Butterflies reproduce by laying eggs. Their eggs are black or other colors. They are oviparous.
- Nutrition: It drinks sweet nectar from flowers. They are herbivores.
