1. What are the differences between grasses and trees?
Grasses are short, but trees are tall. Trees have a thick trunk and grasses have a thin, soft and flexible stem. Grasses don´t have branches and trees do.
2. Look at the photos 1-6. Classify the plants.
1 - bush, 2 - tree, 3- bush, 4 - Grass, 5 - Grass, 6 - tree
3. Think of other examples of grasses, bushes, and trees.
Trees - pine tree, apple tree, oaks, salt tree
Grasses - tulip, green wheat, bamboo, rice, shamrock
Bushes - honeysuckle, roses, blackberry, quora, moss
4. Why do rose bushes have thorns on their branches?
Rose bushes have thorns to protect themselves from animals.
5. What is the difference between angiosperms and gymnosperms?
Angiosperms are flowering plants that produce fruit where the seeds are found. Gymnosperms are flowering plants that don´t produce fruit, so their seeds are in cones.
6. What do ferns and mosses have in common?
Ferns and mosses have spores. They are non-flowering plants. They produce spores which they release into the air. They do not produce seeds.
7. Choose the instruments can you use to observe spores?
